This is an original painting I came up with. I wanted to paint a Puerto Rican -themed painting without just painting the flag. I thought it would be nice to have the flag to represent the beautiful beaches of PR.
Melissa A. Torres is Registered Nurse, originally from Newburgh, NY, with no formal art education. She began taking an acrylic art class in March of 2011, but has been painting and drawing since childhood. Most of her work so far has been commissioned pieces. She loves to transform a photograph of a person's loved one(s) or pet(s) into a work of art.
